We’re proud to announce the successful completion of our April 2025 delegation! Over the past three weeks, our team collaborated closely with local partners to hit key milestones in expanding water access and promoting sustainable practices across rural Tanzania. Below is a summary of our impact and activities during this mission.
Key Activities
Successful Completion of the Endadosh Primary School Rainwater Harvesting System
Over the past three weeks, our team joined forces with the Endadosh Primary School community and especially the children themselves to assemble an 82,000‑liter rainwater harvesting system that will transform water access for years to come.
When we encountered an unexpected reverse slope in the roof that hadn't been apparent in our initial planning, we adapted by redesigning the piping system. Our solution routes rainwater directly from the gutters into underground conduits before entering the storage tank. By applying fundamental principles in Hydraulics , we've ensured balanced flow rates and reliable filling regardless of seasonal variations.
We're incredibly proud of what our delegation and the Endadosh community achieved together. With the system now fully operational, students will enjoy greatly improved water availability through every season. Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves, shared local knowledge, and celebrated each milestone with us.

Successful Filtration Upgrade at Mbulungu Primary School
Our team completely revamped the existing water filtration system at Mbulungu Primary School. By implementing a robust gravity-driven design and applying fundamental engineering principles, we significantly enhanced both efficiency and long-term reliability. This sustainable solution, made possible through strong local partnerships and expertise, now provides students and staff with consistent access to safe, clean water for drinking and daily use.
Successful Technical Training & Educational Outreach
During our mission, we conducted technical training focusing on water conservation, hygiene practices, and system maintenance for both Mbulungu and Endadosh schools. To enhance learning, we shared our specially created storybook "The Story Of Two Little Drops" which became a central component of the educational curriculum. We designed and installed colorful instructional comics throughout both schools that clearly illustrate proper water system usage guidelines making technical concepts accessible to students of all ages. The combination of interactive learning activities and permanent visual aids has significantly enhanced community understanding, fostered greater ownership of the projects, and strengthened the foundation for long-term sustainability of these vital water systems.
Field Tours and Future Expansion: We conducted three strategic field assessments in collaboration with RUWASA, STC, and CCA. These on-site visits helped us identify priority locations and collect essential community feedback, establishing a solid foundation for our upcoming phase of rainwater harvesting and filtration system installations. We're excited to apply these insights as we work to expand sustainable water access solutions throughout rural Tanzania.
Strengthening Partnerships: We formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with STC, a grass-roots NGO based in the Babati district, defining the division of responsibilities between our organization and local partners in water system projects. During the delegation, we conducted a series of key meetings with senior officials at the RUWASA, local leaders, and even had a meaningful meeting with a Parliament representative. We received their full endorsement to continue our activities and expand into additional areas. These partnerships represent a significant milestone in our efforts to broaden our impact and promote sustainable development in the region through close collaboration with local communities and partners. Together, we are building long-term solutions that support growth and resilience in these communities.
Looking Ahead
This delegation has exceeded our expectations, pushing the boundaries of our work and establishing valuable new connections. We've implemented innovative approaches and forged strategic partnerships that will significantly enhance our impact. We are grateful to our partners and local communities whose collaboration made these achievements possible. As we conclude this successful delegation, we are energized by the new possibilities ahead. The experience and relationships gained will be invaluable as we prepare for future work, allowing us to scale our sustainable water initiatives and create lasting change that supports community resilience across Tanzania.
