About EWB TAU

Our Organization

EWB is an international, non-profit organization working to significantly improve the quality of life in developing communities while cooperating with members of the local community

The Tel Aviv University branch was founded in 2011 and has since been active in a variety of projects, with the Tanzanian project as its main project

Our Mission

The area of Nkaiti in northern Tanzania includes thousands of members living in basic conditions. The village does not have potable water infrastructure so residents are forced to rely on seasonal ponds and cisterns for their needs

Not only that these water sources are not sufficient, but they contain extremely high concentrations of fluoride, which when used for drinking cause damage to the teeth and oral cavity (cleft lip), severe bone deformities, and irreversible damage to skeletal development, affected children are often left untreated

We aim to find water storage and purification solution, adapted to the needs and resources of the community, incorporation with the local population, giving them the knowledge and training required for them to be self-sustained in the nearby future
